about

There are plenty of alternative rock bands with straightforward and easy to digest lyrics. We are not one of them. Most of our music is more of a slow burn. The words are visual, metaphoric, and flexible for interpretation, much like most progressive rock.

lyrics

Stray downwind blindfolded and terrified
Crossbones fine woven may come and take over
Headstones start to blend together
Sudden movements are a retreat to the bottom

A wide load of semi sharpened misery placed high and low
and far too deep to elevate

Strong cold threads of ivy always winding down on me
Fell into oblivion never ending
Still there’s time to make amends with sage and clover
Nailed down I can’t pretend to grow

I won’t descend too low

Here the clocks that tick are the stones grinding forward

I’m saying forget all the promises I made out to harm you
And I can easily avoid you again and again light the path that I’m running in circles around
These roots below me pull together with a face of possession
But I don’t wanna be a part of the reason you won’t grow it’s killing me

And I feel I cannot hide from a soul that’s too far gone
All the changing winds of time will always win

These leaves above me flow forever in a cloud of infection
And I feel I cannot hide from a soul that’s too far gone
All the changing winds of time will always win

Here the clocks that tick are the stones grinding forward
Here the blood that drips from the fangs override me

I won’t descend

Weight of the wind directs me, resurrects my soul
Weight of the wind corrects me, resurrects my soul
Stare into me make me bleed curiously
Stare into me make me bleed
Into oblivion

I won’t descend too low
